Lucille Marchitelli, a devoted mother, beloved grandmother, cherished sister, caring aunt, great friend, and passionate educator, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Bronx, New York, on May 9, 1944, Lucille was the daughter of Joseph and Concetta Servedio. She grew up with a strong sense of family, which remained constant throughout her life. She shared a close bond with her sister, Joanne Coladangelo.

On October 15, 1966, Lucille married the love of her life, Ralph Marchitelli. Together they built a home filled with love, raising five children: Gina (Dennis Churns), Ralph (Laurie), Joseph ( Constance), Philip and John. Lucille was endlessly proud of her family and was a guiding light to her seven grandchildren: Kayla, Brendan, Gianna, Gabriella, Jacob, Lucia and Tom.

After dedicating herself to raising her children, Lucille returned to school and, at the age of 44, earned her master's degree in education - a testament to her determination and love for learning. She went on to work as a Special Education Teacher in the Bronx over twenty years, where she touched the lives of countless students with her compassion, patience, and unwavering belief in their potential.

Lucille was blessed with life long friendships that brought her joy, support, and laughter through every stage of life. She deeply cherished the many friends who touched her heart and walked beside her on her journey.

Lucille's legacy is one of resilience, warmth, and selfless devotion to others. She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and the deep love she gave to all who knew her. Her presence in our lives was a gift, and her memory will be forever treasured.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2pm-6pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, followed by interment at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.

Lucille is my cousin , I remember visiting my grandparents every Sunday in the Bronx when we were young. She lived upstairs from them.
I always admired her. When I made my confirmation I chose her for my sponsor.
I was her flower girl in her wedding.
She will be missed . May she Rest In Peace. I
