LUNENBURG: Lucille J. (Joyce) Sheahan Maynard, 91, formerly of Fitchburg and Lunenburg, died Sunday evening, August 18, 2024 at Autumn Glen Assisted Living Facility in Dartmouth.
Lucille was born in Fitchburg, February 9, 1933 a daughter of John and Theresa (DeLisle) Joyce and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School.
Lucille was a longtime member of St. Anthony's Church in Fitchburg and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She was a member of the Flopenaufin Ski Club, the Lunenburg Garden Club and had also served as a volunteer at the Fitchburg Art Museum.
Lu began her professional career in the late 1970s working at the Bose Corp. in Framingham, MA as the receptionist, later joining the marketing department there in an administrative role until she retired in the late 1990s.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. "Frenchy" Maynard in May of 2020 and was also the sister of the late Theresa Trappey of California.
Lu leaves her two sons, Garrett Sheahan and his wife, Beth, of Dartmouth, Matthew Sheahan of Colorado and several nieces and nephews including Joyce and Mike Assar, John Trappey and Adam Trappey.
Lu's family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation period, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. www.andersonfuneral.com.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, August 27th at St. Anthony's Church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg. Interment will follow at North Cemetery, Lunenburg.
