Lucille was born December 8th, 1943 in East Bernard, Texas to parents Frank Novak and Lucille Minks Novak. She was the eldest of 6 children. Lucille grew up in the community of East Bernard and graduated from Orchard High School. She met Eugene William Mieth at a dance and kept in contact with him while he was in the military by writing love letters to one another. They got married soon after and started their family.
Lucille had many talents. She loved music, playing the organ, piano, saxophone, accordion, and even the drums. She was also named "Band Sweetheart". She loved gardening when she had time between all the activities she volunteered for. She taught CCD, was a KJZT junior and American Legion junior auxiliary leader, and was a Catholic Daughters member. She also worked at the school as a substitute teacher and in the cafeteria.
Lucille was preceded in death by her mother and father Lucille and Frank, her brother Frankie, sisters in law Cynthia Kopecky Novak, Annette Rejsek Novak, Annie Orsak Novak, nephew Mark Novak, and Fred Mieth and Mary Jez Mieth. She is survived by her husband Eugene Mieth, and children Melissa Trahan (Nick), Gerald Mieth (Amanda), Deanna Mieth, Suzanne Shorten (Eric), and Allison Moseley (Joseph). Seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings Raymond Novak, James Novak, Lawrence Novak, Janice Shoop Novak, sister Gladys Novak Hein, and Fred Hein.
Lucille was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and recently great-grandmother. She was also an amazing friend and cousin and anyone who knew her well, all knew her as "Tootsie".
