Lucille Violet "Lu" Packard, 86, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by family, friends, and loving staff and caregivers from Primrose Retirement Community.

She was born April 19, 1939, in Mount Prospect, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Violet (Bach) Bahr.

She was a 1957 graduate of Arlington Heights High School.

On December 27, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mount Prospect, Lu married Robert Bruce "Bob" Packard who preceded her in death on May 3, 2015.

Lu worked for over 20 years at Boardman Clark Law Firm in Madison, Wisconsin as an assistant legal librarian. She currently was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. Lu was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. In 2015, Lu and her son Scott moved to Jefferson City to be closer to family.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Kim) Packard, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Rachael Packard, Hannah (Andrew) Carlson, Andrew (Anne) Buchheim, Matthew (Kalyn) Buchheim; and a brother, Elwood "Woodie" Bahr, Arlington Heights, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; and a son, Scott Packard.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL. with Pastor Peter Berauer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to The Special Olympics of Missouri (cards and donations mailed to Trimble Funeral Homes, 3210 North Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109).
