Lucille (Minton) Pringle June 28, 1935 – July 17, 2025
With hearts full of gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we share the passing of Lucille (Minton) Pringle on July 17, 2025, at her home. Lucille left this world just weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 28, 1935, Lucille was a woman whose warmth, quiet strength, and sweet nature touched all who knew her.
Lucille's story is one of enduring love, joyful laughter, and deep devotion. She married the love of her life, William Frank Pringle, on September 22, 1956, in Worthington, West Virginia, after meeting him on a blind date to see Love is a Many-Splendored Thing at the drive-in. That night sparked a lifelong romance full of shared dreams and quiet adventures.
Together, Lucille and Bill raised four daughters, and she devoted her life to creating a warm and welcoming home. A full-time homemaker, Lucille took pride in everything she did-from preparing delicious home-cooked meals and baking unforgettable treats, to tending her flower beds and vegetable garden with care. Each summer she'd be found canning vegetables and filling the pantry with love. And come the holidays, her kitchen transformed into a bakery of dreams. Her legendary pepperoni rolls and banana bread-made by hand, never with a mixer-were family treasures, though her secret recipe remains lovingly guarded.
Lucille was a woman of many talents. She took cake-decorating classes and always had the perfect cake for birthdays and celebrations. She played the piano beautifully, a gift passed down from her father, and later in life, took a part-time job at McDonald's, where her family would joke about getting a "home-cooked meal" from behind the grill.
A faithful and supportive wife, Lucille, often helped Bill in the garage, assisting with car painting prep and the detailed cleaning of each finished vehicle. She had an eye for detail and a deep sense of pride in everything she touched. The cars weren't just clean, they sparkled.
Lucille and Bill found joy in life's simple pleasures: traveling to visit loved ones, taking their RV camper out with friends, attending antique car shows, and playing weekly card games-where the laughter was loudest when the women beat the men.
She was a longtime member of Pilgrim Christian Church, where her faith and kindness touched many. In quiet moments, Lucille could often be found immersed in a good book or completing a puzzle. Known affectionately as the "puzzle master," she famously doubted the pieces were all there-until they always were. Lucille was a beloved wife, mother, mama, and grandma. Her spirit was joyful, her heart generous, and her laughter infectious. Even in her final days, that laugh-a melody of pure love-brought comfort and warmth to those around her.
She is survived by her daughters: Linda Robey, Pam (Ken) Bevington, and Terry (Milt) Boggs; her sister Ricki (Wayne) Huron; her grandchildren: Teala (Fred) Mitchell, Tara (Pete) Folz, Jamie (Ryan) Huber, Ken (Tania) Bevington, Stephanie (Ben) Gingrich, Chris Hrouda, Cooper Boggs, and Tucker Boggs; and her great-grandchildren: Isaiah Gullick, Caitlin Gullick, Madelyn White, Caleb Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell, Kaya Folz, Mila Folz, Bode Folz, Kensley Huber, Peyton Huber, Kayla Bevington, Will Gingrich, Anne Gingrich, and baby Huber (due in October). She will also be deeply missed by her cherished companion, Boss Cat.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Pringle; her daughter, Jo Ann Hrouda; her brother, Daniel Minton; her father, Theodore Minton; her mother, Gertrude Hughes; and her stepfather, Kenneth Hughes.
Private family services will be held, with interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest in peace and love.
Lucille's life was a reflection of grace, devotion, and enduring love. In her memory, the family welcomes donations to
your favorite charity-a fitting tribute to a woman who gave so much to others.
