Lucille Mary Rose (Normand) Healey, age 92, formerly of Waterbury, passed away after a brief illness, at Regency House Wallingford with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Healey, also of Waterbury.
Lucille was born on January 26, 1930 in Waterbury, CT. She was the daughter of the late Ulderic and Lydia (Bergeron) Normand and daughter in law of the late Judge Patrick and Kathleen (Coughlan) Healey.
Lucille attended St Thomas Grammar school and graduated from Webster Grammar school. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School in 1947. She worked at Barrow, Wade and Guthrie Accounting firm in Waterbury where she met her future husband, Bob. After her marriage she stopped working to raise her family. As her children entered College, she returned to work at the Republican and American Newspapers in the Subscription Department where she would retire.
Lucille was a devout Catholic growing up in St. Anne's Parish in Waterbury and then becoming a Parishioner, with her family, of Saint Anthony's of Prospect. More recently she was a Parishioner of Saint Thomas Becket of Cheshire. During High School at Waterbury Catholic High, she considered a vocation with the Congregation of Notre Dame Sisters who had founded the school.
Lucille loved gardening, entertaining, the performing arts and travel. She loved to decorate her home for all of the Holidays which would lead to lifelong traditions for her family. Her fondest memories were of summers spent on the Connecticut Shoreline in Madison. A lifelong musician she would often serenade her family in the evenings playing the family's piano. She was also an avid reader often reading several books a week. She instilled these passions for music and reading in her children.
Lucille was devoted to her family and is survived by four children, Brian and his wife Joana of Southbury, Dr. Kevin and his wife Dawn of Wayne New Jersey, Paul and his wife Sharon of Wallingford, Dr. Kathleen and her Husband Peter Johnson of Eastford. Six Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren and several nephews.
Lucille and her husband Bob passed on to their family a legacy of Generosity, Faith, Honor, Integrity and a commitment to Family, Church and Community.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three siblings, Roland Normand, Irene Epstein and Yvonne Vanasse.
The Family would like to thank the Staff of Regency House who cared for and supported Lucille through her brief illness.
To everyone who met her she was special. She carried herself with a Dignity and Grace that is rarely seen today.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Healey, Johnson and Normand families today. I always enjoyed hanging out at Kathy's house. Your mother always made me feel at home as if I was one of the family. I know that she's in heaven with your father. Love and Peace, Monique
