Lucille M. Sambor

1947 - 2021

age 73, of Strongsville, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. She was born on August 16, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles and Edith Balata. Lucy served as a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed participating in a sewing club, including making and donating blankets for infants through BabySew. Lucy was very involved in the Weight-Watchers program, very active walking, bicycling and was the school crossing guard for Strongsville Schools for over 20 years. Left to celebrate her life is her beloved husband of 53 years, James; her loving children, David (Leslee) and Renee (Ken) Rinkoski; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica and Jason; brother, Richard (Peggy) Balata. Lucille is preceded in death by her parents. Using distancing practices, the family will welcome friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W 130th St, Brunswick, OH 44212 with inurnment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 480 W Highland Rd, Northfield, Ohio.
