Lucille Y. (Russi) Simas, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Kent Hospital. She was the cherished wife of the late William A. "Bill" Simas.

Born at home in West Warwick, Lucille was the daughter of the late Rosario J. and Yvonne B. (Monte) Russi.

Together, Lucille and Bill were the former owner/operators of the Phenix Square Diner in West Warwick. Lucille was also employed for many years at Kent County Hospital in Warwick, including Out Patient Rehab in East Greenwich. Along with Bill, she organized many bus excursions to the New York Theatre District to attend numerous Broadway Productions. She continued to enjoy Broadway shows whenever she visited her granddaughter Alexis in NY.

Lucille was a loyal communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Church and an active member of their Rosary Altar Guild. Her spirit thrived in the simple joys of life. She enjoyed gardening, the theatre, music, and dancing. She particularly loved traveling, especially to Aruba. She was a woman of many talents with a real zest for life. However, it was her family that brought her the utmost joy, and she took great pleasure in cooking and celebrating holiday gatherings.

Lucille will be dearly missed by all who knew her and her legacy of love and devotion to her family and friends will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She is survived by her three children, Lori Ann LeBeau and her husband Paul of Johnston, David S. Simas of Coventry, and Susan L. Harris and her husband Steven of West Warwick; a sister, Jeanne Dupuis of Hope; two grandchildren, Ashley Jarosz and her husband Jared, of Johnston and Alexis LeBeau, of Johnston; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Zachary Jarosz; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-niece. She was predeceased by her son, Michael W. Simas, as well as her sister, Claire Russi and her brother, Roland J "Butch" Russi.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 8:45 a.m. from the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, RI. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Burlingame Road, West Warwick, RI. Visiting hours are scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located at 262 Danny Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
