LUCILLE SOPINSKY, on August 6, 2025. Loving wife for 48 years to her late husband Philip, daughter of the late Irvin and Lee (nee Lubel) Glick, devoted mother of Brian (Lisette) Sopinsky, David (Amy) Sopinsky, Jordan (Natalie) Sopinsky and Jessica Begelman, beloved mom-mom of Perry, Lonni, Farryl, Yisrael, Zevy, Sara, Reid, Madison, Ariel, Anna Bracha and Itzik Ellie. A proud Wilmingtonian, Lucille graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in Wilmington, Delaware before starting her career as a legal secretary at the Law Offices of Harry Rubenstein. She left the workforce to raise her family, before commencing her second career as a secretary with the Abington School District where she loved greeting the students every morning. Besides sitting poolside soaking up the sun, Lucille loved to connect with people from Wilmington and reminisce about her favorite city and the home to the most friendly people in the world. A private service and internment will be held to celebrate her life. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Brian and Lisette Sopinsky on Thursday only. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Jewish Federation of Delaware, 101 Garden of Eden Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 (www.shalomdelaware.org) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
