With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Steinberg, a devoted educator and cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Donald departed this life peacefully, from natural causes, on August 12, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on November 28, 1934, in Philadelphia, Donald dedicated his life to caring for his family, the pursuit of knowledge, and the betterment of his community through his career as a schoolteacher.

Love and support of family were foundational to Donald's life. Together, Don and his adoring wife Nancy shared many happy years including, national and global travel, time at the beach, skiing and a legacy of life, love, laughter and celebrations at Shawano Farm. Their amazing farm pathed a lifetime of cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them. In his retirement years, Don was a resident of Foulkeways Retirement Community, Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. He and Nancy forged many new friendships and were an integral part of a wonderful community.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Steinberg; a son, Andrew (Page); daughter-in-law, Claire (John Henry) and four grandchildren, whom he loved all so dearly, Amanda Steinberg, Thomas Steinberg, Boone Steinberg and Eliza Steinberg. He is also survived by two of his three sisters, Ruth Flomenberg and Bernice Gordon; a nephew, Neal Flomenberg M.D. (Phyllis) and a wealth of nieces and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son John Henry and sister Marlene. May their memories be a blessing.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in the Mausoleum, at Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery and will commence precisely at 11:00 AM. Masonic services conducted by Athelstan Lodge #482 F&AM and full military honors will be rendered at Donald's Interment.

Friends, family, and all who were touched by Donald's warmth and wisdom are invited to celebrate his life and share their memories. In these moments of reflection and remembrance, may we find solace in the shared love and respect for a man whose life was a testament to the beauty of learning and the strength of familial bonds.
