Lucinda (Lewis) Miller, 97, of East Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Miller.

Born in West Memphis, Arkansas, she was the eldest of eleven children of the late Frank and Leona (Jackson) Lewis.

Lucinda dedicated her life to caring for others, working for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted parishioner of Praise Tabernacle Church in Providence. She found joy in baking, quilting, and reading her Bible, but her greatest blessing was the time she spent with her family. As the proud matriarch of six generations, she cherished her role as a guiding light and source of strength to all who loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirleen Henderson; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Barbara Brown, Alfred Henderson and Bennie Robinson.

Lucinda's legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all whose lives she touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 3:00-7:00PM, in the Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 41 West 95th St., CHICAGO, IL 60628. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00AM, in the Christ Tabernacle Baptist Church, 854 North Central Ave, CHICAGO, IL 60651. Burial to follow will be held in Burr Oak Cemetery, 4400 West 127th St., ALSIP, IL 60803. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Praise Tabernacle Church, 330 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910.
