Lucinda Joyce Spencer, age 94, passed away peacefully in her home on May 23, 2025, in Plantation, Florida. Born on February 19, 1931, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Lucinda lived a life marked by resilience, warmth, and devotion to her family and community. With only an elementary school education, Lucinda built a remarkable and enduring career in the textile industry. She dedicated over 30 years to her work at Arigunabo Textiles in Jamaica, where her diligence and skill earned her the respect of colleagues and the pride of her loved ones.

Her strength and determination were further reflected in her decision to immigrate to the United States, seeking better opportunities for herself and her family. Lucinda was known for her deep love of singing and her nurturing touch in the garden. Whether tending to flowers or lifting spirits with her voice, she brought beauty and joy into the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her six daughters: Winsome  Gordon, Jacqueline Cain, Jennifer Scarlett, Maxine Gayle, Coretta Stirling, and Debbie Dacosta. She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Spencer and Albert Anthony Beach. Her legacy lives on through her children, extended family, and all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service celebrating Lucinda’s life will be held at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th Street, Plantation, FL 33317. Lucinda’s life was a testament to quiet strength, love, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
