Lucius "Lou" McCoy III was born to the late Lucius A. McCoy Jr. and Linda M. McCoy on February 6, 1971, in Los Angeles, California. He received his education from Westchester High School and shortly after attended Los Angeles Job Corps. Soon after his training, he moved to Las Vegas, NV, where he met the love of his life, Karina Orlewicz. Lou and Karina married, June 29, 2002, and together, parented four beautiful children; Taige McCoy, Damani McCoy, Mya McCoy, and Nevia McCoy. Lou supported his family with his career as a Forklift Operator for Sysco Foods Corporation. He loved BBQ, and was a master on the grill. He liked to grow his own fruits and vegetables to ensure they were organic. Anyone who knows Lou, knew that his favorite color was red and during his freetime he enjoyed playing with his dogs and operating his mechanical cars. He loved football, "Raiiii-derrrs!" and was a master puzzle solver, which comes by no surpise, because he was always helping people solve their problems. He was a solution seeker, always putting others first and many would go to him for advice. All who knew Lou, loved him! He treated everyone as if they were family, and will be missed by many. Lucius A. McCoy III departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, and is now resting with his parents, Lucius A. McCoy Jr. and Linda McCoy, his maternal grandfather, Samuel Moore, and his paternal grandparents, Lucius and Cleo McCoy. He leaves behind his wife, Karina McCoy, children, Taige, Damani, Mya, and Nevia McCoy, grandmother, Dorothy Moore, siblings, LaTresha McCoy, LaToya Wright, and Shanika McCoy, as well as a plethora of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish his memory.
