Lucy Darlene Burt

Lucy Darlene Burt, 58, of Inverness, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson after a brief illness.

Darlene was born on July 26, 1967, in Tutwiler to James and Edna Logan. After her father's passing, she grew up in Arkansas, raised by her aunt. Darlene worked for Tackett Fish Farms for many years in various positions. Her favorite thing to do was going camping at Grenada Lake with her husband. Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father; her aunt, whom she considered her mother, Lois Walker; brother, Mark McBride; and nephew, Jonathan Chisolm.

Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Arthur Burt of Inverness; two sons, Joshua Burt (Christy) and Richard Aaron Burt both of Inverness; two sisters, Janet Robinson and Debbie Chisolm, both of West Helena, Arkansas; and six grandchildren, Sarah Burt, John Burt, Brantley Burt, Hunter Odom, Hayden Odom, and Mary Jacobs.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
