Lucy Hadwen Davis passed away peacefully, 87 years to the day she entered the world, following a prolonged period of declining health.

Born November 16, 1938, in Springfield, Vermont, to Vaughn and Eleanor Hadwen, Lucy grew up surrounded by family and community. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1956.

Returning to Springfield, Lucy worked for many local businesses and, in 1960, married Thomas Koledo. Together they lived in Chester and Springfield. In 1986, Lucy married Arthur Davis, and the couple made their home in Springfield.

Lucy remained an active Springfield alumna, especially devoted to parade float planning and construction. She proudly served as the construction site host for the Class of 1956's twenty-fifth reunion celebration. Beyond her alumni work, Lucy was a dedicated leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, serving in numerous roles both locally and at the state level.

Faith and music were lifelong passions. Lucy sang in church choirs for many years, and even in her final days, when she could no longer perform, she found joy in listening to her fellow residents celebrate their faith through song.

In 2000, Lucy relocated permanently to Ellenton, Florida, where she lived until her passing.

Lucy is survived by her son, Jeffrey Koledo of Florida, and her devoted cousin, Karen Santa of Maryland, whose dedication to Lucy's well-being was a true gift. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, each with cherished stories of how Lucy touched their lives. She was predeceased by her brother, Vaughn Hadwen, Jr., in 2024.

A memorial service will be held in Springfield during the summer of 2026, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Lucy's remarkable life.
