Lucy Skloda-Mierzwa,70, of Syracuse, peacefully passed away on Sunday. She was the owner and cook at Good Cooking Diner in Syracuse. Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Charles Mierzwa; her parents, Andy Skloda and Mary (Mauro) Bailey; and her brother, James Skloda. Survivors include her three children, Michele Merrill, Marie DeFio, and Chad (Tina) Mierzwa; her two brothers, Paul Skloda, and Mark Skloda; her sister, Linda (Tom) Catalano; her seven grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her two soon to be expected great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4 to 7pm Thursday at the Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. Funeral service will be 10 am Friday at the funeral home with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse, N.Y.
