Lucy "Catherine" Munden, born at home on November 9, 1942, in Virginia, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on June 18, 2024, in Chesapeake, VA, at the age of 81.
Catherine dedicated 51 years of her life working in the Banking Industry most recently at Towne Bank in Moyock, NC where she greeted everyone with a warm smile and kind words.
Catherine was a faithful Christian. Above all, she treasured her family deeply and spent countless cherished moments with them.
She is survived by her three children: Richard Wade Jr. and his wife Melanie, Angela Everton and her husband Joe, and Robert Wade and his fiancé Kelly. Catherine was a proud grandmother to Candace Richards and her husband Sam, Ashley Wade and Dustin, and Tyler Everton. Her legacy continues through her three great-grandchildren: Bentley, Kinslee, and Everly Jo.
Catherine is also survived by her three brothers, C.S. Curling and his wife Carol, Charlie Curling and his wife René, Billy Curling and his wife Bonnie and multiple nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Sunday, June 23rd from 4:00- 6:00pm at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory located at 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 24th at 9:00 am at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with a celebration of life to follow at 10:00 am at Hickory United Methodist Church, 2708 S Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
