Lucy Pasquarelli, 95, of Baldwin, NY a beacon of kindness passed away on March 7, 2025, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family.
She was born on December 13, 1929, in Newark, NJ, to the late Antonio and Anna (Napurano) Mazzella,
Lucy's heart bloomed when she married the love of her life, Edward Pasquarelli, on November 18, 1951, in the Bronx, NY. Their bond was a testament to enduring love, growing stronger over 73 magnificent years and the blessing of two wonderful daughters.
Remembered for her culinary wizardry, Lucy transformed her love of cooking into a rewarding career as a Chef at Evander Child High School, where she delighted the palates and hearts of generations to come. Her talent for creating culinary delights was surpassed only by her immense generosity and the joy she found in nourishing others.
Lucy's life was a reflection of her profound Catholic faith and her pride in her Italian heritage – two pillars that guided her and shone through in her every endeavor.
Her spirit will be lovingly cherished by her loving daughters, Michele Pasquarelli and Kim Eison; grandchildren, Joshua and Brandon Eison; great-grandson, Kaleb Vitali-Eison; and sisters, Emily Scotti, Matilda Salvietti, and Theresa Squitieri.
Sadly, Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years Edward Pasquarelli (2006), as well as her dear brother Andrew Mazzella and sister Josie Fusco.
Lucy's legacy of warmth, generosity, and delicious memories will continue to nourish the hearts of all who knew her. Her story is not ended, but one that continues through the lives of her beloved family and the countless individuals hearts she touched.
Lucy Pasquarelli will be profoundly missed, yet her bright light will forever illuminate the paths of those she loved so dearly.
Visitation will be private for family only.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to celebrate Lucy's life at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1377 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY.
A Private cremation will take place following Mass.
