Ralph O. Jones Funeral HomeLuella May Burge, 89 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Odessa Cemetery in Odessa, MO. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Odessa or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Luella was born on May 6, 1936, in California, MO to Walter and Opal (Barnes) Cogdill. She was a graduate of Odessa High School in Odessa, MO. On January 22, 1955, Luella was united in marriage to Charles Edgar Burge in Odessa, MO. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2002. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Edgar and Luella owned and operated The Burge Trailer Court in Odessa. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Luella enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling to Port Aransas, Texas with her husband Edgar.
Luella is survived by two children, Paul Burge and son-in-law Steve Anderson of Gun Barrel City, TX, and a daughter Amy Ratz; two grandsons, Eric Ratz and A.K. Hunter; and many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Luella was preceded in death by a brother, Jasper Cogdill.
