Luis Alonzo Gonzalez, 64, passed into the arms of our Lord on September 7, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Luis was born on August 26, 1961, in Landstuhl, Germany while his father was serving in the United States Air Force. Luis was a man of dedication, warmth, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.

The son of Juan G. Gonzalez and Emma Llanes Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas, Luis grew up with a strong sense of purpose. He attended Heights Elementary, Lamar Junior High, and graduated from JW Nixon High School in 1980. He went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos in 1984 laying the foundation for a distinguished career in banking.

Luis began his professional journey at the Laredo National Bank before relocating to Dallas where he served as a Regional Report Analyst II at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. His sharp intellect and steadfast work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and peers throughout his career.

Luis leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his two sons, Chris (Ashlea) Mowry of Prosper, Texas, and Blake Gonzalez of Tennessee, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Stella and Archer Mowry of Prosper, Texas. He is also survived by his brothers, Mariano E. Gonzalez (Alma) of Edinburgh, Texas, and Guillermo X. Gonzalez (Eva) of Crossroads, Texas, and his sister, Yamira Mendiola (Tom) of San Antonio, Texas.

Luis's life was marked by his devotion to his family, his pride in his sons and grandchildren, and his ability to bring people together with his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of Luis's life will be held at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas, (740 South Edmonds Lane) on September 19 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Luis's memory.

Rest in peace Luis, until we meet again in the presence of our Lord.
