Edward "Ed" Joseph Andruchek

August 4, 1948 – September 13, 2025

Born to Edward and Wanda Andruchek, on August 4, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan.

The LORD called Ed home on September 13, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson's and Dementia. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janie Andruchek, their son Michael, Ed's son Cliff, his sisters Marie and Therese and his grandchildren Trevor and Chris.

Ed attended and graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit. Ed then joined the United States Air Force after college. While in the Air Force, he served during the Vietnam War, for one tour where he was stationed at Ellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, as the Payroll Clerk. He achieved a Sargent ranking during his time in the military.

After his time in the Air Force, Ed worked as an industrial engineer for Ford Motor Co. where he spent over 30 years working. Those that knew Ed well, knew he would never drive anything but a Ford.

Some of Ed's fondest memories include going to Michael's high school sports games and traveling to watch him play in college golf tournaments. After moving to Texas, Ed discovered his love for Tex-Mex food and his favorite restaurant, Joe T. Garcia's where he could be found most Saturday evenings.

After retiring, he spent most of his time working on house projects and in "his yard". He became saved in the Assemblies of God Church in 2006 and was baptized in the Baptist Church in 2023.

Ed being 100% Polish decent, he had a truly unique sense of humor that often times only his wife, Janie could understand. His "broadcaster" voice was as also truly unique and what he thought was a whisper, could be heard in the next county.

Ed attended Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville, TX. He was loved by everyone in the neighborhood, the community, the Church, and in later years, the workers at the Avalon Memory Care facility.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Northview Baptist Church, Lewisville, Texas. The visitation is one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at Old Hall Cemetery, Lewisville, Texas.
