Luis Soto Méndez, 67, passed away peacefully into the arms of God on November 10, 2025. Born on May 29, 1958 in Camuy, Puerto Rico, Luis is the son of Nere Soto and Carmen Mendez.

Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Genoveba and their children, Luis (Lidia) Soto, Joseph (Dorianis) Soto, and Carmen (Belmarez) Soto; along with many grandchildren. He was a cherished brother to his siblings, Luz María Soto, Rosa Soto, Juan Soto and Matilde Soto.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nere Soto and Carmen Mendez.

A devoted fisherman, Luis worked diligently to provide for his family throughout his life. He was known for his strong faith and attended Casa De Dios – House of God Church in Plymouth. Luis will be remembered for his dedication to his family along with his unwavering faith.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 12PM at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.

Luis Soto Méndez, de 67 años, falleció en paz el 10 de noviembre de 2025. Nacido el 29 de mayo de 1958 en Camuy, Puerto Rico, Luis era hijo de Nere Soto y Carmen Méndez.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Genoveba, y sus hijos: Luis (Lidia) Soto, Joseph (Dorianis) Soto y Carmen (Belmarez) Soto; además de numerosos nietos. Era un hermano muy querido para Luz María Soto, Rosa Soto, Juan Soto y Matilde Soto.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Nere Soto y Carmen Méndez.

Pescador devoto, Luis trabajó incansablemente para mantener a su familia durante toda su vida. Era conocido por su profunda fe y asistía a la iglesia Casa de Dios en Plymouth. Luis será recordado por su dedicación a su familia y su fe inquebrantable.

El funeral se llevará a cabo el viernes 14 de noviembre de 2025 a las 12:00 del mediodía en la Funeraria Johnson-Danielson, ubicada en 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. El entierro tendrá lugar en el Cementerio Oak Hill de Plymouth.
