Luis Penaranda, 81, of Port St. Lucie, Fl passed away June 23, 2023 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Luis was born on December 4, 1941 in Lima, Peru to Alfonso Penaranda and Maria Ramirez. Luis graduated from the National Major University of San Marcos, Lima, Peru with a bachelor’s degree. Luis served proudly in the United States Army. He was also a well-respected economist and accountant in his community.
Luis was active in his community and especially loved helping people. He was the President of the local kidney foundation while living in GA and worked with Dun & Bradstreet in MD to assist small businesses.
Luis enjoyed sports including soccer, tennis, football, and basketball. He loved travelling, meeting new people and spending time at the beach.
Luis will be forever missed by his beloved wife of 44 years, Malinda Penaranda of the home; sons, Danny (Cindy) Penaranda of MD, Chris Penaranda of SC, and Bobby Penaranda of AR and daughter, Maria (Jeff) Faulkner of SC. He was a beloved grandfather to granddaughter: Kaitlyn (Ryan) Raborg of MD, granddaughter: Ansley (Ray) Circo of MD, grandson: Brett (Julliette) Burnett of NC, grandson: Eric (Tiffany) Burnett of SC, 3 wonderful great-grandchildren. He was a loving brother to brothers, Romulo Jorge (Judy) Penaranda of Lima, Peru and Cesar Alberto (Carmen) Penaranda of Lima, Peru and he always enjoyed spending time with his father-in-law Bill (Iris) Lanier of GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other friends and extended family members. Luis was predeceased by Father and step-mom: Julio Alfonso (Bertha) Penaranda of Lima, Peru; Mother and step-dad: Maria Genoveva (Humberto) Solari of Lima, Peru and Grandson: Christopher Penaranda of GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at from 1PM to 3PM with a Memorial Service at 2PM the Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
