Luis Alberto Perez (74) passed peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL. on October 31, 2025. Luis was born on November 17, 1950 in the Bronx, N.Y. and grew up in Elizabeth, N.J.
Social and outgoing, Luis enjoyed spending time with his many friends and going dancing at the local church. He served time in the Army where he was stationed at the U.S. Army Base in Hanau, Germany and was honorably discharged as Specialist 4th Class.
Later in life, Luis moved to Florida's Tampa area and worked at a State-funded facility teaching woodshop to handicapped patients. He said it was the best job he ever had and was sad when he had to retire for medical reasons. He then moved to Port Saint Lucie, FL., where he lived until his passing.
Luis is survived by his daughter, Lisa Fischer and her wife, Kathy, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Robert and his wife Magdalena, sister Brenda and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his father, Juan Alcides Perez and his mother, Brunilda Vazquez.
