Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 80 years.
The daughter of the late Manuel and Marie (Lawson) Perez was born on October 7, 1943 in Las Vegas, NM. She married Evert Bruce on November 23, 1963; he predeceased her on May 7, 2020. Luisa was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children: Priscilla Dickinson, Debra Hoeppner, Christopher “Hoss” Bruce, Darlene Bruce, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her siblings: Dan (Connie) Perez, Rebecca (Henry) Abegg, Tina (Tony) Gauna, Pete Perez, her step-sister Laura (Paul) Woods and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, Luisa was predeceased by her grandson J. Evert Reid, her son-in-law David Hoeppner, and her step-mother Janice Perez.
The family would like to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice, especially Renee and Marti for their care of Luisa. The family would also like to thank Hannah at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab for her tremendous and loving care of Luisa while she was at Hoyt.
Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 Noon Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
