LuJean Nilson Obituary

LuJean Seamons Nilson passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 97. She was the daughter of George D. and Susan Seamons and grew up in Hyde Park, UT. While attending North Cache High School she met Randall James Nilson, the love of her life! They were married on November 1, 1946 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, for time and all eternity. LuJean and Randall were dedicated to each other and their family for 51 years, when he passed away August 1, 1997. She was the cherished mother of 5 children: Jimmy Dee (Doris), David Randall (Jeanine), Tina (L.Dee) Shakespear, MaryLou Nilson, and Troy Franklin (Nikole).

LuJean and Randall lived in Smithfield, Tremonton and Bountiful, with LuJean spending her remaining years in Kaysville where she loved her neighborhood and all of her many close friends.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and held many callings in various organizations. She was a member of a Relief Society choral group, enjoyed cooking, was a very talented seamstress and was very devoted to her family.

She is survived by her children, 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Presently she has 4 great grandchildren serving LDS missions.

We would like to thank Whisper Cove Assisted Living and Ability Home Health & Hospice, and their exceptional staff, for their tender and compassionate care. We would also like to thank Amber Wilson for her assistance and special friendship to our Mother.

Funeral services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main, Farmington. Friends and family may visit Saturday, June 7, 2025, between 9:30-10:45a.m., followed by a funeral at the mortuary at 11a.m. Interment will be at the Hyde Park City Cemetery following the funeral service. Rest in peace my sweet friend.
Lujean truly felt like family, and I´ll always be grateful for the chance I had to care for her. I´ll miss her warm hugs-and how she never let me leave without a couple pieces of candy. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved.
