Luke B. Schultz, 50, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his brother's residence. He was born in Decatur, IN, on October 18, 1975, the son of James E. "Barney" and Bonnie J. (Girard) Schultz.

He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School and Bellmont High School Class of 1994. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. J.J. Seimetz Council 864.

Luke had worked for 12 years with Baker & Schultz, 8 years with Primco, and held his final position with Bunge.

He was a die-hard fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He loved Notre Dame Football and Duke Basketball.

Luke was extremely grateful for the love and support of his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Alex Schultz of New Haven; his brother, Scott (Julie) Schultz of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Bonnie Schultz.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Attire is casual.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on, Friday November 21, 2025, in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Jacob Runyon presiding. Burial will immediately follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to A.C.C.F. James E. Schultz Fund or Adams County Cancer Coalition.

Arrangements are entrusted to Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
