Lula Mae Hampton

On Feb 12, 2023 Lula Hampton went home to be with the Lord. She entered the world May 21, 1947 in Concord, NC at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Evans and Mrs. Luella Wilson.
She graduated from Logan High School Class of 1965. She loved bingo, cooking, fishing, gardening, shopping and feeding the community. Over the years she worked as a cook at Phillip Morris, Rainbow Childcare, and Logan Daycare.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by two brothers: Raymond Bost and Larry Wilson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: husband Charles Hampton (Pete), five children: Cornelius Wilson (Anne), Evans E Wilson, Regina Grier, Hosea Hampton, Jacqueline Hampton; four siblings: Samuel Wilson, Evans Wilson Jr, Barbara Wilson Propst (Archie), Cynthia D Wilson; nine grandchildren and eight great grands. She has four bonus grandchildren; seven bonus great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her Golden Girl Sisters: Vanessa Foster, Arethea Byrd, Nita Singleton and special caretaker Sherry Goodson Jordan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17,2023 at Lamb Funeral Home, Inc. 302 Broad Drive in Concord. Visitation is at 11:00am with the funeral following at 12:00pm.
