Lula Pauline Herring, age 76, of Glenwood, went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2024.
She was born on May 20, 1947, in Fancy Hill, the daughter of Willie and Gertrude Cogburn. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Algie Coffman; her second husband, Doyle Herring; her granddaughter Jody Brook Davis; and her grandson, Landon Cortez.
She was a lifelong resident of Glenwood. She graduated from Norman High School in 1966. She lived her life as a homemaker. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Lula will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Tera Coffman, Shane and Crystal Coffman, Craig and Amanda Coffman, and Andrew and Amanda Coffman; her daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Shawn O'Brien; her seventeen grandchildren, Meagan, Scotty, Clay, Samantha (Paul), Kassie, Tiffany (Aaron), Kimberly (Dan), Ashlynn, Trace, Cutter, Sandler, Ehydan, Lylee, Jessica (Colyn), Carrie, Chloe, and Heidi; her twenty-two great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jaxon, Cassidy, Edith, Lorena, Logan, Noah, Stella, Chelsea, Harper, Harlow, William, Kyrenna, Karliah, Gage, Kyndall, Dawson, Kota, Jenson, and Miles; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Shane Coffman, Andrew Coffman, Scotty Coffman, Brent Vaughn, Shawn O'Brien, and Thomas Kerbersky.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Colyn Cox, Dallas Cogburn, Chris Hale, Trevor Hooker, Jimmy Jones, Danny Dougan, and the staff of Dougan's Oak Park.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dougan's Oak Park. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our sweet mom.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Herring officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to services from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Interment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery.
After services the family will be meeting at Wade and Tera Coffman’s house.
