Lula Melton Obituary
Jolly and James Andrew Coleman in Mount Hebron, Alabama. She leaves to cherish her
beautiful sister, Melodie Benefield. She was a graduate of Parker High School.
She began her Christian journey at an early age, accepting and uniting with Zion Hope Baptist
Church in North Birmingham. Lula is the essence of love to all, and it showed in her dedication
as a caregiver, which eventually led her to retire.
Lula also leaves her children to cherish her memories: Anthony Melton, Kim Hayes (late
Orlando), Keith Melton ( Shawanica Roberts), Romie Melton (Ramion), Ivy Edmond (
Lawrence), and Jamie Melton ( late Edward).
She went on and extended her loving heart and adopted DeQuiton Melton, Melodie Melton,
Lamarcus Melton, Kenian Melton and many many more. She loved her 14 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
