Obituary of Chi Lung Lee
Chi Lung Lee passed at the age of 84 on January 28, 2022, at home in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The first son of the late Pang Chow Lee and Ngai Ching Cheung, and the third of eight siblings, he was born on January 18, 1938, in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China.
Excelling in school, he attended one of the most prestigious high schools in his hometown and went on to earn his college degree in Materials Engineering. He worked as a Materials Engineer in China until he moved to the USA with his wife and daughters at age 47. In the US, he worked in various jobs utilizing his engineering skills. Eventually, he settled down as an owner of an auto repair shop as a mechanic in New York City. He was a creator, an entrepreneur, a discoverer, a builder, a welder, a business owner, and a lover of life. Chi Lung retired at 74 after over 50 years of working life.
Above all, Chi Lung was a family man. He was always there for us. He leaves behind his wife, Mei Ling Lee, and daughters Sue Yin Li (Cheng Ke), Louisa Lee (James Chui), and Mong-Wai Lee (Andrew Malanga). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Raymond Lee Chen, Darren Lee Chui, Janie Michelle Chui, and Thomas Lee Malanga.
The wake will be held in California on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 10 am - noon at Snyder's Care Center at 9320 Santa Anita Ave #107, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.
