Lupe Cruz Lopez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on December 27, 2023, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on December 21, 1947, in Mexico. Lupe's warm and caring nature touched the lives of those around her. Her loss is deeply mourned by her family and friends.

Lupe dedicated over three decades of her life to working at St. Mary's Hospital as a housekeeper. She took great pride in her work and went above and beyond to ensure that every patient was comfortable during their stay. Lupe's strong work ethic and compassionate spirit made her an invaluable member of the hospital community.

Education was important to Lupe, and she attended San Manuel High School. Though she may not have pursued higher education after high school, she possessed a wealth of knowledge gained through her life experiences and interactions with others.

Described as outgoing and sociable, Lupe had an innate ability to strike up conversations with anyone she met. She genuinely enjoyed talking to people and had a special gift for making those around her feel valued and heard. As a loving grandmother, she showered her grandchildren with affection and made sure they always felt loved.

Her caring nature extended beyond her own family; Lupe was known for being a good listener who offered understanding and support to anyone who needed it. Countless individuals found solace in sharing their joys and sorrows with Lupe.

In her free time, Lupe had several hobbies that brought her joy. She loved playing the slot machines at the casino, finding excitement in each spin of the reels. Music also held a special place in her heart; listening to songs that resonated with her soul often led to impromptu dance sessions that brought lightness to those around her. Additionally, Lupe found delight in watching Mexican soap operas, captivated by the dramatic storylines that mirrored aspects of real life.

Lupe's proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind four sons, Albert Roybal (Adrienne), Louis Roybal, Daniel Roybal (Yvonne), and Richard Moraga (Angelica). Lupe's brother, Mario Moraga, held a special bond with her throughout their lives. Her memory will continue to live on through her thirteen cherished grandchildren: Kristiana, Nicholas, Lorenzo, Genesa, Joshua, Andrea, Emily, Nicholas, Ruby, Esmeralda, Alisa, Abby, and Vanessa. Lupe was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

The legacy of love and kindness that Lupe leaves behind is a testament to the beautiful soul she was. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Lupe Cruz Lopez, let us remember the compassion and generosity she embodied. May her spirit inspire us to be more caring and giving individuals in our own lives.

Rest in peace, dear Lupe. Your memory will forever be engraved in our hearts.
