Lura SuzAnn Christensen Madsen passed away and went flying with the Angels at her home in West Jordan, Utah on September 2, 2025 at the age of 77 after a prolonged illness. SuzAnn was born on April 20, 1948 in Moroni, Utah to EuGene and Lura Christensen. She was the sister to Bent Lee and Larry Christensen. She married Ernest Madsen in 1967 in Moroni, Utah. Though the union did not last, it was during this time that her two beautiful and beloved daughters were born, Laurel Ann and Caroline. SuzAnn attended and graduated from Mary's College of Beauty School in Provo. She spent many years as a beautician, she met numerous people during this time in her life and enjoyed the close friendships and acquaintances she made throughout this period. SuzAnn retired from Smith's in 1992 along with her best friend Sami. SuzAnn was known for her loving kindness and big black hair. She found solace in her yard and in planting and keeping her garden. She enjoyed sewing, singing and reading. Her greatest joys were her daughters and grandchildren. SuzAnn was a significant and active force in helping raise her granddaughters and grandson. Her stories to her grandchildren made it paramount to them that they were her heart and soul. Her smile lit up a room and made any sadness or doubt vanish in its light. Her hugs healed broken hearts and scraped knees. Her love abounded for all who knew and loved her, there was no limit to her devotion. She is survived by her beloved daughters Laurel Ann Hyrske (Greg Hyrske) and Caroline Coombs. Granddaughters Lindsey Bishop (Justin Bishop), KyLee Ann Wilde (Gage Wilde), Annie Petersen and grandson Colton Coombs. She was a great grandmother to 9 darling great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many additional family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents EuGene and Lura, brothers Bent Lee and Larry and great grandson Ryker Stetson Bishop. A service will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the LDS church located at 7903 South 2700 West in West Jordan, Utah. The family requests those who would like to send flowers; please send them to 8197 South 2800 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088. All flowers and or cards will be taken to the church the day of service. The family would like to welcome anyone that would like to come and visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. the family will be there. The family wishes to thank Aging Services; Tawnya, Lisa, and Janna. Dr. Holland and his team Carey and Miranda. A1 Hospice team and a special thanks to Christian and Monica. Thank you to the Church and Bishop Hansen and Sister Melanie Pollock for all you have done. We also want to thank the many other family and friends that also cared for SuzAnn; Neil Pape we thank you especially. We are truly thankful and appreciate all the help and patience we have been given. SuzAnn's warmth and love will be remembered always by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
