Luther Lowell Lamborn

Luther Lowell Lamborn, 80, of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on February 25, 2026, at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital.

Luther was born on August 8, 1945, in Charleston, Missouri, to Lewis and Cora (Barnhill) Lamborn.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Luther built a long and steady career as a truck driver, most recently working for APAC. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family.

Luther was married to the love of his life, Goldie (Cecil) Lamborn, and together they shared 50 years of marriage.

Outside of work, Luther enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, playing bass guitar, and piddling in the garage working on cars, lawn mowers, and just about anything with an engine. He had a deep appreciation for music and especially enjoyed dancing. Luther found joy in staying busy and doing what he loved.

He is survived by his children, Robert Sheets of Columbia, Karen Brown of Columbia, and Tina (Dave) Sheets of Hallsville; his sister, Glenda of Sikeston; his grandchildren, Dawnn, Corey, Andrea, Samantha, Gregory, Breanna, Paige, and Dalton; and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Goldie, his siblings, and his son in law, Allen Brown.
