Luz Socorro Guerrero, aged 87, peacefully departed from this world on September 17, 2025, in Pecos, Texas.
A visitation to honor her life will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her memory on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, followed by her burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
Born on September 3, 1938, in Julime, Chihuahua, Mexico, Luz was the cherished daughter of Porfirio Armendariz and Josefina Pando. In a beautiful union, she married Oscar Garcia Guerrero on September 22, 1967. Throughout her life, Luz dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker and remained a lifelong member of the Catholic faith.
Luz is lovingly remembered by her son, Oscar Guerrero, and her daughter, Ymelda (Israel) Espudo, along with her adored grandchildren, Israel Ray, Isiah, and Iren Espudo, all of whom reside in Pecos. She is also survived by her sister, Silvia Terraza of Lazaro Cardenas, Chihuahua.
Luz is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar G. Guerrero, her parents, Porfirio and Josefina Armendariz, her brother, Baldemor Armendariz, and her sister, Martha Alicia Tarango.
