Our dear mother, Luz Maria Rocha, sadly passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 90 due to complications from Covid19. Affectionately referred to as Nana, she was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend, who was always there when anyone needed her. Always a smile on her face and had a rare humor. She called Denver home for the last 47 years. Luz was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on June 6, 1933. She was predeceased by her brother Jose C. Gonzalez in 2013 and her son Frank Rocha in 2018. She is survived by her husband, Jose Rocha; by her children, Felipe Rocha, David Rocha, Ana Gonzales & Fermin Rocha; by her sisters Ruby Montoya and Saleta Duran Lopez; and sons and daughters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, family & friends.
She was together with the love of her life, her viejito, for 64 years. They loved to travel together; going to Hawaii, Las Vegas and especially Mexico to visit family & friends. She worked for Beth Israel Hospital for many years as a Dietician. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family.
