Luz M. Sustache (Alicea) affectionately known as Lucy, went to be with the lord on May 1, 2024, at St. Camillus Health and Rehab Center, Syracuse, NY.
Born to Natividad Roldan and Juan R. Alicea on February 26, 1940, in Gurabo PR. She loved music, dancing, gardening, and above all her siblings and parents. She was always ready with comforting word to those who needed it, and set an example with her determination and work ethic. She was dearly loved.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Amparo Colon and Aracelis Gomez, granddaughter Edlin Miranda who she also raised. always ready with a comforting word to those who needed. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren. That will continue her legacy for years to come. Siblings who she loved, Jaime Alicea, Juan Alicea, Sara Alicea, Manuel Alicea, Luis Alicea, Felix Alicea, Alfredo Alicea, Isaias Alicea, Raquel Alicea, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Husband Justino Sustache, sister in law Petra Angelica Martinez, and grandson Miguel A. Colon Jr.
A Special Thank You to St. Camillus Nurses and staff on the overwhelming care, love and support during her care and this time. We are eternally grateful.
Viewing hours to honor and celebrate the life of Luz M. Mustache will be held on May 6, 2024, from 6-8 PM at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse N.Y. Funeral Service and burial will be held in Gurabo P.R.
Lucy will be missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
