Nelson Sustache, a devoted husband, loving brother, and cherished son passed away on September 23, 2025 in Sanford, Florida. He had a generous heart, a gentle spirit, and a way of making everyone around him feel valued and loved. A lifelong fan of the New York Mets, Nelson found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—cheering for his team and sharing those moments with the people he loved. He was also a gifted artist, creating works that reflected the beauty he saw in the world.
Nelson fought pancreatic cancer valiantly for over a year, selflessly sacrificing himself to trials and studies, to not only find a cure for himself but for all those who face the same battle. His strength and fortitude gave him and his family more time for memories, laughs, and love to cherish in this difficult time.
Nelson is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Medina Sustache, his brother, Angel Sustache, and an extended family who will forever treasure his warmth and unwavering unconditional love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Nelson’s honor.
