Lydia De Jesus, 73, of New Haven CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26th, 2024. She was born on September 1st, 1951, in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Daughter of Secundino De Jesus and Maria Gonzales.
During Lydias life, she loved caring about her kids no mattered what age they were. She loved traveling back to her country frequently, being around animals and she was an excellent mother. She was a strong woman that fought for her life to the end.
Lydia left the legacy of her childrenCindy Ruiz, Brian Ruiz, Benjamin Ruiz, Javier Ruiz and her beloved grandson Carlos Diaz, concluding her other grandchildren Xiomari, Xavier, Leonel, Christopher, Stephanie, Alex, Yankiel, Jonael, and her two great grandchildren Aurora and Alejandro. Mom your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, December 30th from 9:00 AM 11:00 AM at Keenan Funeral Home in West Haven. A funeral home service will be held at 11AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven.
