Lydia Mae Maurer, 86, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11th, 2024. She was the widow of Marvin Maurer Sr. Born in Ashland, PA. she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Lindenmuth) Troup.
Lydia was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ. She worked for many years at Brown Printing and as a crossing guard for the Upper Perkiomen School District. After retiring, she was employed by Subway. Lydia enjoyed cross stitch, playing bingo at the East Greenville Fire House, reading mystery novels, and most recently, watching Hallmark movies.
Lydia is survived by her children: Bonnie Freed, and Marvin Mauer Jr, both of East Greenville, and Dwayne Maurer, of Bensalem; grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Tammy, Crystal, Danita, Dwayne Jr., Angie, Donnie, Jessie, Heather and Ivory; several great grandchildren; and brothers: Leo Troup, of Maryland; Samuel Troup, of Tennessee; and Henry Troup, of Locustdale, PA. She was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Richards.
A viewing will be on Friday, November 15th, 2024, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg from 10- 11 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Pennsburg UCC Cemetery.
