LYLE THEODORE CHRISTENSEN JR., age 77, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Lyle was born on June 20, 1948, in Wadena, Minnesota, to Lyle Sr. and Dora (Brasel) Christensen. He attended high school in Princeton, Minnesota, where he met the love of his life, Brenda Blank. The two later married on February 7, 1967. Together, they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Throughout his life, Lyle was a dedicated worker. He was employed at Homecrest Industries in Wadena and later worked for Aramark until his retirement. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, cheering on his favorite football teams, and—most of all—spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
Lyle is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; their children: Darwin Christensen, Brian Christensen, Tina (Eric) Marsh, Keith (Jenny) Christensen, and Joseph (Amy) Christensen; their nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six siblings, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 20, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ellison Park Log Shelter, 913 E River St, Monticello, MN 55362. Arrangements are being handled by Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service.
