Lyle McCollum Jr.

It is with saddened hearts, that we announce the passing of Lyle Wayne McCollum Jr.
To those of us who crossed his path along his walk through life, Junior, will always be remembered as a man who charted his own course.
Born March 8, 1966 to Lyle Wayne McCollum and Mary Jane Allen (Dodson) in the city of Brookfield, MO; Junior went on to live a great many adventures and touch many hearts. He attended and finished school at Washington High School, in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduation in 1984, he enlisted in the United States Navy serving briefly before being released to attend to his father's passing. Upon making his way home he studied welding as his profession through Mitchell Tech in Mitchell, SD.
Junior was preceded in death by his father, Lyle McCollum Sr.; his mother, Mary Jane Allen; his stepmother Ruby Stone, his stepbrother Brad Meyer; his son Dylan Van Noort and his grandson Samuel Dean Thompson.
His memory will be carried on by his surviving stepmother Betty McCollum; stepbrother Russ Meyer; stepsister Jennifer North; his children Tara Olson, Amber Riley, Crystal Toney, Patricia Riley, Gage Thompson, Devon Thompson, Lilly Graue, Quinton Graue and his many beloved grandchildren.
While our hearts continue to mourn, his soul already flies free; making its way through this world into the next. As a spirit with many stops along the way, we know he'll be sure to say his goodbyes in his own quirky way before making his way home to watch over the remainder of our lives.
Pending services are to be provided through Millard Family Chapel at Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton, MO.
