Lyle Sharp Obituary

Lyle was born March 1, 1943 in Dodge City, Kansas to Lyle Sr and Mary Annabell Palmer. He grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and later moved to Kentucky where he would go on to meet his wife, Vickie. Lyle loved the outdoors and camping with his family. He was also a huge sports fan, especially of the Denver Broncos. After his retirement from Norton Healthcare he enjoyed being able to camp more with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters-in-law Charlene, Shirley, and Arlee Sue Sharp, and nephew Jarrod Mangin.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Vickie (Schneider), children Loretta and Fredrick (Elizabeth Prather) Sharp, siblings Bob Sharp of Washington, Sam Sharp of Colorado, and Kelley (Don) Mangin also of Colorado, sisters-in-law Kathy (Eddie) Jewell, and Debbie (Tony) Smith and brothers-in-law Tim (Carol) Schneider and Fred (Mendy) Schneider all of Louisville, KY. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 1020 East Burnett Avenue with interment to immediately follow at St. Michael Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues
In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Mercy Academy (Louisville), St. Xavier (Louisville), or Bellarmine University.
