He was born on 19 January 1938, in Springfield, KY

Kentucky Derby Festival committee for several years and oversaw the parade for many of those

years. He was a docent at the Louisville Zoo for over a decade, and he volunteered as an usher

at U of L baseball and softball games. He was a talented softball player in his younger years

becoming an umpire when he hung up his bat. He became the Umpire in Chief for the Kentucky

Bourbons Men's Professional Slow Pitch team as well as umpiring for several leagues

throughout Louisville with his brother Joe at his side. Jack was an active member of St. Stephen

Martyr Catholic Church for 67 years. Jack had a heart of gold and would do anything to help

those in need. He loved to laugh and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
