Carla Ann Schroeder

Schroeder, Carla Ann, 69 of Louisville passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Norton Audubon Hospital.

Carla was born in Louisville on May 4, 1956 and lived most of her life in the Germantown / Schnitzelburg neighborhood. Most of the homes she lived in were within a one square mile of the area. She graduated from St. Therese Elementary School and Atherton High School (class of 1974).

Carla was a longtime "doer" of many things at St. Therese Catholic Church and St. Rose Elementary School. This included being custodian, athletic director and fundraiser go-to person. After this, she was Chef for St. Michael Catholic School in Jeffersontown as well as a part-time worker for Kentucky Venue Services. She loved her jobs and the people she worked for and with.

Carla was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Wright and a brother, Raymond Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob – Bobby) Schroeder, children; Josh (Shannon) and Jacob Schroeder and Addie (Matt) Knopf, siblings; Sharon Singleton, Linda Corley, Anita Stolarick, Don Wright, Jean (Frank) Brown and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wright, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 747 Harrison Avenue at Eastern Parkway with entombment to immediately follow in the Chapel of Faith at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues.
