Milford Roberts "Bid" Schroeder, Jr., born in Clovis, New Mexico on March 9, 1944, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas at 81 years old.
Bid grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Roy Miller High School and Texas A&M University. He was a man of many talents. He could build or fix absolutely anything and was always working on something. He loved hunting, fishing, backyard bird watching, animals, old cars, homemade ice-cream, Sally's tacos, and Dr. Pepper. He retired from Beaumont Independent School District in 2008 where he enjoyed teaching high school math, welding, and small engine repair. He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them. He will be deeply missed by them all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Genevieve Schroeder. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Sally Schroeder; daughters, Amy Coppage and her husband, Tim; and Kristy Schroeder; grandchildren, Abigail and Mason Coppage; and brother, Ron Schroeder and his wife, Julie.
A gathering of Mr. Schroeder's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77701. His cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
