Norman L. "Nick" Belker, 85, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born to Irvin and Rose Levy Belker in Louisville, Nick was predeceased by his parents, sister Sondra (Dan) Renco, and Clara Pierce Belker, mother of his daughters.
He is survived by his partner, Terri Weber; daughters Whitney Belker Vauvelle (Robin), of Harrogate, United Kingdom, and Leigh Belker-Rivas (Scotty) Louisville, Kentucky; beloved grandchildren – twins, Vivienne & Sienna Rivas, twins, Louis & Clara Vauvelle, and Dominic Weber; and Terri's sons, Bobby and Dave Weber.
A devoted father, grandfather, and partner, Nick's bright blue eyes and radiant smile illuminated every room. He was an unwavering supporter of his daughters and shared a deep, joyful bond with Terri.
A proud graduate of Atherton High School, the University of Wisconsin, and the University of Louisville School of Law, Nick dedicated 35 years as a trial attorney. His service extended to the Air National Guard in Kansas City, and he inspired young minds by teaching with Junior Achievement.
Nick was a talented collegiate diver and a long-standing member of the Duffers Clambake, a group of golfers that was co-founded by his father, Irvin Belker. In addition to golf, he loved tennis, skiing, and world travel. He was an avid supporter of the University of Louisville and the Green Bay Packers. Known for his sharp wit and spirited debates-often with a bourbon in hand-he delighted all who knew him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hosparus and his caregiver, René. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or sharing a fond memory of Nick.
A private graveside service will be held on August 8, 2025. A Celebration of Life will follow on August 9, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lake Forest Country Club, 14000 Landmark Drive in Louisville. Arrangements entrusted to Herman Meyer & Son, Inc.
