Reeta A. Schroeder, 97, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Born June 12, 1928, to Stuart and Clara (McConnell) Conklin in Harrisville, she was raised there. Reeta worked as an X-Ray Technician at Mercy Hospital in Bay City. She married Edward Schroeder on June 25, 1949 in Harrisville. She was the Matron of Alcona County upon Ed’s election to Sheriff in 1980. Reeta was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church, and a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter #184. She enjoyed reading.
Reeta is survived by her daughters, Beth (David) Read of Spruce, and Lynn (Lucky) Kosto of Hubbard Lake, her son, Karl (Becky) Schroeder of Harrisville, four grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward on July 25, 2020, and by her great grandson Derek Kosto.
Private services have been held. Burial was in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
