Lynda Maree

Lynda Maree 69 of Jackson died Friday October 10, 2025, at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold. Born and raised in Jersey City, Lynda spent most of her life there before moving to Jackson in 2023. She earned her master's degree in psychology and built a career as an Art Therapist at RWJ University Medical Center in Jersey City, where she worked for ten years. Her dedication to the field showed her deep belief in the power of art as a tool for expression and healing. Art was at the center of Lynda's life, both professionally and personally. She found joy in painting and pottery, and her pieces reflected her creativity. She embraced her lifelong love of Disney, collecting memories, characters, and stories that spoke to her imagination and sense of wonder. She was predeceased by her husband, Jess G. Brown, in 2013. Surviving are her children, J. David Brown and Alexys Mary Evina Mbozoo.

At Lynda's request, services were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to J. David Brown. For those who wish to support the family directly during this time, cash contributions are also sincerely appreciated.
