Lynda Marie Sayers Wessel, born on December 28, 1960, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice. Known for her vibrant personality and sharp wit, she brought joy and laughter to those around her and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lynda's life was marked by her devotion to her family. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, nurturing their spirits and creating lasting memories together. Lynda is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Wessel, and her three children: Leah Ann Wessel, Melanie Wessel, and Joey Wessel (Brittney). She took great pride in her grandchildren—Mya, Dylan, Bryson, Jesse, Hunter, Haley, Gavin , Noah, and Ellie—each of whom held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her immediate family, Lynda is survived by her mother, Pat Sayers, as well as her sisters, Tammy Trappe (Keith), Kim Neff (David), and Sherri Slavey (Scott). Together, they shared countless cherished moments filled with laughter and love, supporting each other through life's challenges.
Lynda is proceeded in death by her Father Thomas Sayers and niece Sara Neff..
Lynda enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including walking and riding her exercise bike, showcasing her commitment to maintaining an active lifestyle. She was a cat lover at heart and all her children have cats and she loved them all. Her sense of humor, often accompanied by a sarcastic edge, endeared her to many—a trait that will be fondly remembered.
Lynda was also a cashier and u-scan clerk for Krogers. She retired from there and worked for the company for 43 years.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday March 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel B, located in Covington, Kentucky. This will be followed by a funeral service, which will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. Lynda will then be laid to rest during a burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, beginning at 12:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY, 41017.
The profound impact Lynda made on her family and friends will resonate through the stories shared and the love that continues to bind them. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and cherished memories.
